What is Edging?

Experience has shown us that when we aren’t in solid recovery we sit in our middle circle and will often engage in what we call edging behavior.  Although we may not want to admit it – we still get a hit of dopamine when we do this, and it will end up taking us into our inner circle behaviours. When we are in our middle circle, we have 2 ways to go – out to our recovery circle or in to our relapse circle.

Those middle circle behaviours are called your slippery slope or edging behaviours – my boundaries are at risk of failing if I engage in the following: flirting with someone at work for example, looking at hook up sites.

These are the edging behaviours that we are going to talking about in this video.
